Las Vegas, Nevada Sighting
Tuesday May 02, '00 2310 hrs.
Seen from area around Valley View and Diablo (south of Tropicana). 4 other witnesses. Clear, cloudless night. Approximately 80 - 85 degrees east from north. Could not estimate distance. Observed three star like objects about 70 degrees up from horizon. Objects circled, merged, formed triangles and other geometric shapes, hovered, faded in and out, performed extra ordinary aerodynamic feats not associated with any craft I am aware of. Sighting lasted about twenty minutes before we decided to leave.
Another very strange object crossed our field of view at this time also. It appeared to be a giant building with no lights, very, very large. No estimate on distance. No noise. Very hard to discern shape as object was only a small shade lighter than the background sky. It took maybe thirty seconds to cross sky from south to north approximately 70 degrees up from horizon and to the east of us. I commented it may have been a flock of geese or ducks but i am not aware of that type of migration here.
Both sightings apparently did not draw any investigative attention from nearby aircraft.
I would like to add that I am a sceptic with ufo stuff and will believe when a ufo lands in my back yard and an alien shakes my hand. I am merely passing along this infornation to see if this was a mass sighting and whether or not this could be explained.

Hello DK;
I'm sorry, I was assuming you were in Las Vegas. I usually have a camara in my car in case of accidents or things that would need to be photoed. Never know when that happens. Will permanently carry one now. Numerous pictures would have shown the mystical movement of the star like objects.
As for the building shaped object, I would estimate that if the object would have been only two miles away it would have been at least the size of a 70 - 100 story building. Reminded me of the Empire State building. I would think the object was up to five miles away and therefore much bigger in size. From our vantage point the mega resorts on the strip (approximately one mile away) paled in comparison, maybe only up to 25% of the size of the object (the object appeared to be much farther away than the strip). As I stated object was hard to focus on because of a lack of lighting. When trying to see something such as this object, dark shape against a dark back ground, a person is not able to see the object directly because of the way the eye works in the dark. By looking slightly away from object, movement and some shape recognition is made but precise detailing is lost. That is why I say it was very hard to describe shape in exact detail.
I'm saying I'm a little skeptic with this because I can not understand that with a major air base here and the miltary technology available, no fighters were scrambled to intercept these things. How could they not show up on radar? And at McCaren? At any given moment there must be at least a dozen air craft in the air at a time here and no one else saw these things or investigated? We pay our military to be very paranoid when breaches of secure air space occurs and this definitely was a major event that was ignored or missed(?). Hmmm.
